TECI a Global Consulting / Technology Services
Firm is seeking a MCSE Systems Engineer that will
be responsible for maintaining and monitoring
approximately 140 Windows Servers. Candidates will
have come up technically through implementation
and support in a Windows WAN environment, and have
the ability to architect and deliver Disaster
Recovery technologies. The qualified candidate
will drive solutions and business. Also, must know
platform and storage technologies as well being
familiar with enterprise server technologies.
Assisting with investigating issues on servers at
remote field locations. The position requires
on-call support 24/7 every other week and would be
responsible for addressing any Windows Issues that
are recorded through our clients problem
management system. This will also include
coordinating hardware repairs with the client and
hardware vendor. Repairing failed backups,
performing file restores, producing and
distributing daily reports to TECI and Monthly
Status Reports to our Fortune 100 Client
concerning backups and hardware status. Must have
excellent team-working skills, positive leadership
and strong analytical skills, and be able to
clearly articulate technical and business
concepts.
Required Skills:
Microsoft MCSE (4-6 years), IBM X-series hardware
experience (4-6 Years), Veritas Backup Exec
Experience (0-3 Years). We also desire HP Compaq
Proliant hardware experience (0-3 Years) and
Tivoli Storage Manager Experience (0-3 Years).
Ability to communicate with multiple department
heads. Oral communication skills in technical
conference calls.
Desired Skills:
MCSE, IBM X-Series Hardware Experience, Veritas
Backup Exec experience.
Non-Tech Skills:
Verbal Communication Skills and the Ability to
create daily & Monthly Status Reports are
required.

for this Job:

Question 1: This position is a
Monday-Friday 40 Hour Per Week Position. Supporting
1450 Windows Servers in our clients Glenview Data
Center. This is a 24/7 support role, Are you able to
be on a rotating 'On Call' schedule every other week?
Question 2: You
may also be required to remotely connect to our
Client's Environment from a laptop that will be
provided to you, are you able to perform disaster
recovery, or rebuild a Windows 2000 or 2003 Server,
configure AD, and also verify all Server
configurations are correct, if configurations are
provided to you?
Question 3: The
Position requires: Backup Exec experience, you will be
performing file restores and repairing failed backups.
Do you have any experience in Backup Exec?
Question 4:
Another important part of this position is the ability
to determine weather a problem is hardware or software
related. If the problem is Hardware related, you will
be responsible for coordinating hardware repairs with
the client and hardware vendor. Do you have current
experience in this capacity?
Question 5: Our
main requirements for this position require you to
